Join me on a journey to not just master tennis, but to master yourself.
Hi! I am Aaron Zaderej, and I’m a Tennis Teaching Professional based in Denver, Colorado.
I believe in a holistic approach to tennis coaching that goes beyond just improving your physical skills on the court.
My unique MindBodySoul approach focuses on helping tennis players connect with their inner Selves, stay present in the moment, and cultivate patience and self-belief.
By blending mindful awareness techniques with expert tennis coaching, I empower my clients to elevate their game while nurturing their well-being.
With over 10 years of coaching experience at all tennis levels, I also fuse my experience as a shamanic medicine practitioner helping others step out of their comfort zone.
I have a 5.0 NTRP rating and am USPTA certified. When I am not on court, I am spending time with my family, testing and creating new recipes, traveling, hiking, and strolling through museums.
I currently conduct Zen Tennis Group Sessions at Denver Tennis Club.
Zen Tennis Sessions
Open communication and feedback are encouraged throughout the program to tailor the experience to the needs of the players.
Players get individualized attention: I offer individualized mindfulness coaching and support for players who need extra guidance or have specific goals.
Integration of visualization exercises into training sessions to help players mentally prepare for matches and visualize successful outcomes.
Incorporation of gratitude exercises into cool-downs or post-match reflections to cultivate a positive mindset and appreciation for the game.
Fostering of a supportive and inclusive team environment by embracing activities encouraging connection and empathy among players.
Encouraging players to maintain a regular mindfulness practice outside of scheduled sessions and provide tools for tracking progress, such as journals or mindfulness apps.

"Aaron is both a wonderful tennis teacher and human being. He is truly interested in helping you achieve your objectives via a warm and supportive partnership. Utilizing a thoughtful and considerate approach, he will meet you where you are, elevating your game and improving your day. I met Aaron when was 65, having started playing tennis within the prior year. After a couple of years of working together, I have become a solid 3.5 player. I owe much of my progress to Aaron."

"Working with Aaron has been a truly phenomenal experience. Beyond the technical fundamentals of tennis, I've learned so much more that has enriched my overall approach to the game and to life. Aaron teaches with patience and an incredible ability to make each session feel personalized. I always felt seen and understood, which made a significant difference in my progress. One of the most helpful things I've learned technique-wise is the importance of my preparation and positioning. Aaron broke down these elements in a way that was easy to understand and apply, drastically improving my game. Additionally, the mental tools I've acquired from our sessions have been invaluable. Techniques such as deep breathing and focusing on the present moment have not only helped me stay calm and centered during matches but have also positively impacted other areas of my life. Overall, Aaron is more than just a tennis coach; he is a mentor who truly cares about his clients' growth both on and off the court. I highly recommend working with Aaron to anyone looking to enhance their tennis skills, gain valuable life lessons and enjoy the game of tennis even more."

Aaron is great at identifying realistic opportunities for improvement, and teaching the level-appropriate skills at each session. I frequently feel like he’s helping me to push the frontiers of my game, without demanding performance that I'm not yet capable of. Aaron is very enthusiastic in praising proper execution of skills, even when the ball goes long/short. As a beginner, hitting the net or going long sometimes feels like the worst thing that can happen. So, it's nice to be reminded that establishing consistent form is more beneficial in the long run, and that dialing in a new technique takes time. Aaron looks at tennis from a wholistic point of view. He isn’t just another pro – he’s a phenomenal coach, person and tennis player. He recognizes that the mental part of tennis sometimes outweighs the physical aspects. Since I’ve been working with Aaron, I’ve not only improved my game but my focus, ability to stay present and mental resilience has improved tremendously.
